Fat Culture

Bah. All the sensationalist media is overhyping this issue to an extreme. This is a problem that has plagued our country for decades, we were just too naive and sympathetical to say anything about it.
Fast-food companies pimp their "Quadruple Meat and Cheese Preservative-laden Cholesterol Burgers" while people zip around in their busy lives, only stopping at the drive-thru to buy and eat this pure, unadulterated shit. The companies cater to those with no time on their hands (i.e. the carpool mom with a carload of kiddies, the rushed businessman on his way to a board meeting, or even the newspaper delivery people who have to have a bite before taking their route.) and as a result, reap more benefits. This stuff is prepared quickly (sanitation not a guarantee) and peddled to those who are aching for a bite of savory goodness from the restaurants that they grew up with.
The concern over obesity only seems to have expanded (no pun intended) along with people's standards of body image as conveyed by the media. Maybe that's a bit of an extreme generalization. For example, there is a man that lives around this town, and every day, he goes to Burger King, orders two Triple-Meat Whopper Value Meals and eats them BOTH. He is so overweight that he has broken several benches in the kidding. He may be a depressive, he may just have low standards, or he may just like fast food a lot. But I digress. People's concern for obesity has become more extreme as many multinational corporations advertise skinny, beautiful models with perfect bodies and sultry, seductive looks. The public has come to believe that this sort of glamorous plasticity is the norm, and we believe that everyone should live up to our pre-set standards.

But, that's the American way, isn't it?

How gay are you...

I'm not sure if anyone has posted this link, but if they have I'm sure someone will tell me...

How gay are you.

Believe it or not, but I am only 16% gay... I think I'd better take it again!

Here you go. The definitive search engine for various alcoholic concoctions.

All of the bibulous members of AKpCEP will thank me.

I have come to realize one thing,. I don't know. Between shuffling my personal life, work time and all of the various things that are zipping back and forth within my family life, I just don't know. I'm lost, in a sense. I haven't taken time to do much at all other than to cater to the needs of my family and friends. Hell, I haven't even taken the time to write anything for this website. It makes me feel somewhat guilty, but then I realize the fact that all of my priorities have taken a course of re-alignment. I've become more preoccupied with the physical and emotional aspects of life than I have for my own creativity. I haven't drawn or painted anything in about two weeks, I haven't written anything (except for pointlessly personal journal entries) for about a month. I'm not really slacking off, just stalling. For what reason I do not know.

I just realize the fact that something is going to happen, and I'm steeling myself for it as I write this. What's going to happen? No clue. It's just this impending feeling of potential problems. Portentious feelings have been clogging my brain for weeks. I can't avoid them.

For many of you, my diatribe may come off as mindless bullshit ranting, but this is a catharsis of sorts. I feel as if I owe something to my own creativity, but to what extent? I remain clueless, and wait for something to happen. Maybe that's my problem. I'm waiting. I'm not going out and changing anything, I'm just sitting on my ass waiting for it to come along and present itself. Maybe I should get up from this chair. Maybe I should go do something important right now.

Just wait here for a minute, I'll be right back....

Who are you?

They were done for an exhibition a couple of years ago . They asked for something to so with the summer. They are mixed media and oil paint on metal advertising boards - for ice cream.
