Inexplicable obsessions

Here's my dilema. At the dragraces on Sunday I saw this woman (as some of you may already know).
I'm married, but my wife's never had a problem with me looking at other woman (and I've never had a problem with her looking at other guys). I mean, we're married, not blind and there's absolutely no harm in looking, because we both know where we'll be sleeping tonight.
Back to the girl in the picture. She's only one of many very beautiful woman that were there on Sunday and by far not the most beautiful either, but for some mysterious reason I just can't get her out of my head. I spent almost the entire week searching for pictures that were taken of Sunday's event, hoping that by some chance there's one of her as well (SO far I have found four pictures). Last night I even fantasized about her to get myself excited before I got into bed with my wife. Now that was a definite first for me and frankly, it's starting to freak me out a little.

Enjoys looking at redheads - check. Dull robotic hum.

Enjoys drag-racing - check. Long pause, followed by the whirr of a great infandous engine working itself up to some kind of terrible exertion.

A violently loud klaxon sounds, followed by the distant reverberation of pounding jackboots. The jackboots come nearer and nearer, as a green light strobes quickly above the door. The door irrupts; guards restrain the Mamba and haul him away soundlessly screaming to a high security mental institution where even the merest mention of drag-racing leads to mandatory and extremely brutal electro-shock therapy.

If it will help with your infatuation, the lump between her legs in that photo does not resemble camel toe.

Is that why the image is called dragbabe.jpg?

Uh? My infatuation isn't with the photo, since I saw her in person, not more than three meters away on more than one occasion and believe me when I say she is 100% babe (and I called the file dragbabe.jpg - in reference to where I saw her)

- It was a poor attempt at humor (note to self, do not post when drunk).

I can relate to your issue though; the only time I'm really approached often by women is when I happen to be in a serious relationship. That or I just don't pay attention the rest of the time.

I know how you feel.

But then, I have the attention span of a grasshopper. I go from one "obsession" to the next very quickly...

All I can tell you is, I have had a few people that could hold my attention. I never would have believed it was posible, but they did. And from time to time I wavered. But I knew what I had, so I focused on that, and didn't indulge my desire to fantasize about gorgeous lead singers and coffee shop eye-candy.

Devotion is key.
I've gone to look for myself. If I should get back before I return, keep me here!

Depending on each person's past or present involvements, I think it is easier to over look temptation if you had more partners in the past. I have had my fair share, and when I settle down with a woman(being monogomous), it is really easy to overcome but not ignore temptation. Look but don't touch. And from my own experiences during my marriage, imagination doesn't last forever if it isn't in your daily life. Just indulge yourself through your imagination and eventually it will pass.
