Alright homeboys and flygirls, listen up.

Those of us who were posting here back in the day have likely changed our stance on a lot of topics, and you might be worried about your post history not showing you in a light your present day self appreciates.

I want to go on the record here as saying:

1) You absolutely have the right to delete any of your own posts as you wish
2) If you want to (or have) signed up afresh, PM me and ask and I will delete your old account and all posts with it, no questions asked.

I'm not anticipating people trawling through 9 years of old postings particularly, but it's your data and you have the right to control it.

Peace.
It's not the houses, it's the spaces between the houses.

Everything old is new again. Funny how you don't know what you've got until it's gone.

Let's see,
Completed my tenure at Bell Labs and retired in 13
moved back south from Ohio, to cold.
Lost loved ones to
Cancer
MS
Don't play my Bass much anymore, fingers don't cooperate.
Still love my vinyl though I have to turn it up a little more.
Time marches on.

Forgive me, what was your username previously?

Hey, Buck! sniser from the flipside here :)

Regarding the post history, just because I am not deleting things doesn't mean they may not bewilder me greatly haha. I'm so super adult and manly now, I cringe right on through it. But nothing I ever said (while I think I behaved better here, I sure could be a pompous ass on the flipside) I would be so ashamed of as I would be of giving in to the hysterical mobs that tell others who they are based on some random sentence from years or even decades ago. I have a hard enough time to even curate my own website, but stuff in forums? No, and lol. If it's still on my website, I might have overlooked it, I might stand behind it, I can't say in general. People who treat stuff that is on "social media" like something that's on a personal website should get a website.

Indeed. People seem to have a very individual approach to their online history. Some people have asked me to nuke it entirely for their own reasons which of course I have done. Others see their online self from a decade ago with a kind of detached amusement.

Personally I'm too busy to trawl through 3000 old posts, so I'm just going to assume I was consistently urbane and witty and correct in all my opinions and leave it at that.

But however would I giggle at my former self without all the incriminating evidence lying about?
And the horse you rode in on...
